PrimitiveForge is an independent gear review site focused on hands-on crafts and primitive skills — bushcraft, blacksmithing, leathercraft, barebow archery, and slingshot shooting.

We started this site because most gear reviews online are written by people who have never actually used the equipment. Our goal is simple: honest, practical reviews written for people who make things with their hands.

Every category on PrimitiveForge represents a craft with a real learning curve and real equipment requirements. We focus on helping you avoid bad purchases and find gear that performs.
